Why We Love Luvs

When our first child was born we did the normal parents-of-a-first-child kind of things. We coddled and shielded. We fretted and wrung our hands. Okay, I did. The Calm One didn't.

When The Cruise Director learned to turn over onto his tummy at 2 months and preferred to sleep that way, I laid on the floor for three nights straight scared sleepless. The Calm One (and the baby) slept peacefully wondering what all the fuss was about.

We washed and sanitized his binki every time it fell from his lips. And then thankfully he found his thumb.

And we bought expensive diapers. A lot of expensive diapers.

We soon had an almost fully potty trained three year old and two babies, 14 months apart. That's a lot of diapers. It wasn't long before we were looking for a less expensive alternative.

We wised up and settled on Luvs. I don't know why it took us so long to try other brands, but once we found that Luvs did as good a job as the more expensive kinds, our search was over. And they were a lifesaver. They fit our children's bodies better than any other brand. And no leaks. We couldn't say the same for the pricier brands.

Luvs has partnered with mom-comedienne, author and overnight internet video sensation, Anita Renfroe, to encourage parents to brave these times without losing their minds, wallets or their sense of humor.

Renfroe will unveil her latest comedic song and video – a sequel to the original “Mom-sense” jingle set to the William Tell Overture that millions of people have viewed and enjoyed – available to view or download for free exclusively at starting June 25.

Luvs is also offering a $5-off coupon via its Web site and encourages moms everywhere to take a stand against pricier diapers by pledging to choose products that offer premium features for no extra cost. Quantities are LIMITED and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Here, for you, dear reader, is a sneak peak at the Anita Renfroe video. Enjoy.

Thankfully, we in the Jubilant household are finally out of the diaper wearing stage. Give The Calm One and I another 40 years and I may not be able to make that same claim.

funny how uptight we are with new parents. i think part of their job is to break us in. unfortunately, i don't have a second one to enjoy me as a "broken in parent."

  2. Love it! Her first song will always be my favorite though!

  3. I love Anita! I couldn't get the video to load, but I love her stuff!

Hey, it looks like we are done with diapers now. I am so happy....
