Works for Me Wednesday

This tip is a life saver. Okay, maybe it’s just a hand saver. Do you hate to scrub pots and pans as much as I do? (I have yet to meet anyone that admits to love pot scrubbing, actually.) Well this WFMW tip is for you!

Instead of just filling that pot with hot water and leaving it sit overnight in the hopes that the crusties will falloff of their own accord, add powdered dishwasher detergent (like Cascade) and give it a good stir to dissolve. Then leave it overnight to work its magic. The next morning all the pan will need is a good wiping down before you wash it up. It has worked for me – every time.

  1. Good idea! I'll definitely give this one a try!!

  2. That is a new one! I have tried a used dryer sheet to soak but that is it. Nice!

  3. what a sweet blog :-)

and,i love the idea of the pan thing...gosh, if i don't have one sitting on my counter now. i usually ask my darling to use his manly power as i'm so weak :-) to scrub...and he LOVES to come to my "rescue." that works too :-)

but, i will incorporate your idea.
