Swallow the Rain

Tears that have fallen
Swallow the rain.
Gorged on His love
Break through the pain.

Shadows are vanquished.
Light turns to love.
Pushing the darkness
Down from above.

Skeleton key, fragile,
Turns in the lock.
Never again to be
Stolen or lost.

Heart heavy burden
Laid by the way.
Slipped off the shoulders.
Forgotten, they stay.

Love reigns triumphant!
Long held beliefs
Come to fruition.
A deep breath, released.

Counting it all joy,
