My View Today
I am working on a granny square baby blanket for a dear friend who now lives across the country. She is having a girl and I cannot wait to finish this and send it to her. I almost have enough squares to complete the blanket. Soon, soon, soon!
The long tan wooden object is my back scratcher. I have three children who never, ever are willing to give their mama a back scratch. Hence, the need for the handy tool. It follows me around the house. I cannot live without it. It is a sad thing. And a very good thing. I'm just sayin'.
You may also notice the gigantic candy bar under the headphones. I rarely indulge because of various health issues, but I saw a sale and couldn't resist this time.
And, of course, there is my ever present cup of ice water. I don't know if it's the water or the ice that I like best. Yes, I do: it's the ICE! Even in cold weather I have to have my ice. And when it melts just enough -- it gets to where it's perfect for crunching and annoying The Calm One.
I make no apologies for the quirkiness that is me. It's one of the fun things about being married to The Calm One. I put up with junk and so does he.
A marriage made in heaven.
Counting it all joy,
