The Clicker Must Be in a Remote Location

It's another snow day here in the Jubilant household. Two this week (so far) and three last week. It's another opportunity to pull my hair out. Makes me rethink the whole "Maybe-I'll-homeschool" thing. I'm just sayin'.

And to add insult to injury: we cannot find the remote (a.k.a. "the clicker") to the tv. I missed LOST last night because the clicker was no where to be found. We were recording two different shows at the same time and could not change the channel on the console itself. Oh the joys of cable tv. I know, I know, cue the mini violins.

The Cruise director thinks he's the new Alpha Male so the remote is often attached to his right hand. I'd like to blame him for the missing clicker, but Whirling Dervish also suffers under the same delusion that he's Alpha Dog and is very capable of hiding the clicker just to be ornery and drive the rest of us nuts. The Dog Whisperer, I am not. "Cesar! Where ARE you? And can you help us find the clicker?"

I was so busy looking for the remote that it didn't occur to me to watch LOST in our bedroom. Sleep much? I know that I operate in a constant state of sleep deprivation, but this is ridiculous!

Anyway, the chickadees are busy looking for the remote b/c until it's found (or until I cannot take it anymore) no one will be watching tv. Even though I am perfectly aware of the fact that now that we aren't recording, we CAN change the channels via the console. What the chickadees don't know, won't hurt them - at least in this case, right?! Maybe they'll learn to entertain themselves a little bit better without the distraction of begging to watch more tv.

Meanwhile, I am off to check out abc.com. There is after all, a LOST episode to get caught up on.
