The Affectionate One has a new best friend. Roxie is quite beloved and she's spoiled. TAO has decided that Roxie is to accompany her everywhere. To bed - sharing the pillow, of course. To the dinner table. At TAO's side when our (imitation) Wii is played. She even gets to sample some of The Affectionate One's food during meals. And she has a nice cushy napping place whenever the mood strikes.
The only thing is . . . Roxie is . . . um . . . well, so very plain and not just a little dirty. I am not one to judge a book by it's cover, but Roxie could be so much prettier with a little attention. All my hints have been met with stubborn resistance from TAO and a disturbingly blank look from Roxie.
"Roxie is perfect. If we change her, Mom, then she just wouldn't be herself."
No cute clothes. No hair brushing. No wash cloth in sight. Nothing. I guess I'll just have to live with her choices. I just know Roxie would clean up well and garner the attention from others that she deserves. *sigh*
Perhaps The Affectionate One is right. Roxie is perfect, just as she is.
Maybe I should get my own pet rock. Is that '70s music in the background?
