You may recall that we added a new member to our family back in late winter. His name is Copper. Well, now he is a member of our extended family and doing well in his new digs. (Thanks Nanny and Papaw) We just couldn't give him what he needed and he was becoming more than we could handle. I hate it when that happens. At any rate, he loves his new home and is adjusting nicely.
I can't think of a clever segue (but aren't you impressed that I can spell segue? No spell check needed for THAT one!). I've been off my blogger game lately, so I'll just say it:
The Calm One has always wanted a chocolate lab. Since he was a kid. And now he's made that a reality.
Bear (formerly known as Jake) is nearly 8 weeks old and adorable, fun, playful and resisting the idea of being housebroken. Why "Bear?" you ask. Well If I was smart enough (or had the time to figure it out) to upload video of Bear running and playing, it would answer that question for you. He looks like a little bitty bear cub when he runs and jumps. Unfortunately, he bites with the ferocity of a bear cub too. I have been reassured by many (not having grown up with dogs) that they can be taught not to bite. I hope that is true. He may have more tenacity than I do.
I'm just sayin'.
It's tiring being a puppy owner: You gotta think about potty business, food, how long you are going to be gone for stretches at a time . . . Sigh. It's much like having a fourth child added to the Jubilant mix.
And I said I was done at three . . .
