Ultimate Blog Partiers: Stop Here!
Welcome to Notes of Jubilee! So glad you decided to drop by and visit.
Let's get you a cup of coffee - or tea, if you prefer. And grab a brownie to enjoy while I show you around. The gals who just left finished off the chocolate chip cookies, sorry about that. Okay, technically I finished off the last chocolate chip cookie, but let's just keep that between us, m'kay?
I am a wannabe published writer and a stay-at-home mom to three wonderful, rambunctious children whom I often refer to as my chickadees. They love that. There's nothing like being in the Wal-Mart and hearing your mom say, "Let's go, chickadees!" After all, it's my job to embarrass them, right? I'm just getting a head start on things.
I love paper crafting which, for me, translates to scrap booking and card making. Right now, I do more collecting than actually using my stuff because we are still redoing our basement. We just recently moved in and have discovered a flooding problem, so it's slow going. At any rate, my craft area will eventually be in said basement. And then I can get back to creating rather than just collecting. A girl's gotta have a dream, dear reader.
My husband is The Calm One. Because he is. Calm, I mean. And I am so not. I freak out over everything and he doesn't. See, we compliment each other nicely. He is a weekend warrior with our local Guard Base and he loves it.
This blog is to help focus on finding the joy in the everyday kinds of things. I write about my kids and husband, do book reviews, participate in Pay It Forward book exchange, (Almost) Wordless Wednesdays, Monday (A)Musings, SITS, and Fridge Magnet Fridays. You can click on any of those links to see an example. You can also see my sidebar for causes that I support, my fave blogs and whatnot. And if that's not enough I have a 100 Things About Me post that will give you insight into the quirky side of me. You've been forewarned. You're welcome.
Please feel free to browse around, leave a comment or two and I'll be sure to return the favor.
Also, I am giving away two books by Lisa Samson. Just click on the link I provided up there on the top of the right hand page and it will take you to the details page. It's not part of the UBP giveaway, but please still throw your hat in the ring just the same.
Wasn't this fun? Kind of like those progressive dinners that we did in high school, right? Appetizers here, salad at a friend's house, on to the main course at a third friend's house and dessert at yet another friend's house.
Stop by anytime, but don't be surprised if I've just eaten the last of the brownies and chocolate chip cookies when you arrive. Seems to be a trend around here.
I'm just sayin'.
For my regular readers that may not be familiar with The Ultimate Blog Party sponsored by 5 Minutes for Mom you can click here to find out more. There are prizes to win and new bloggers to meet. I'd especially like to win prize numbers #49, #37 and #22.
