Sunday Soul Stirrings

“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3,4

This is the verse that popped up today on my sidebar from BibleGateway.com. I needed to hear this Word today. Sometimes we go through junk to help others when they go through it too. A friend and I seem to be going through a similar bloggy slump. Sometimes life crowds in on you and drains the creativity or stifles your voice. Or, in my case, both. Nothing earth shattering. Just stuff.

Life.

It's amazing how many times just the right verse pops up on the very day I need it. I know it's more than chance. It proves to me once again than God's Word is relevant for today, no matter where I am and what I am dealing with. Isn't God amazing?

Yeah, I think so too.

  1. Darn, Not fun to be in a slump. Loved the scripture you shared. When we are in a slump sometimes the best way out, is to serve. It's hard because we really don't want to do anything. But it really does work.
    Have a good day.
