Having Your (Cup)Cake And . . .

You've seen the Electrolux commercials with Kelly Ripa, right? You know, the ones where she is joyfully doing three days of housework in 30 seconds flat while wearing heels and a smile on her face. My children clamor to do housework because they see how joyful I am while pulling clothes out of the dryer. The Affectionate One rushes to the kitchen to see how she can help when she hears the silverware drawer rattle because she knows it's a chance to wear my heels while she does it.

Truth in advertising right there folks. There is a reason no one asked Regis to star in the commercials. I'm just sayin'.

At any rate, the people over at Electrolux are doin a good thing. They are giving us a chance to help them donate money toward a great cause. Donating other people's money has never been much of a problem for me. So, this is right up my alley. And in turn, we get to help raise awareness of ovarian cancer research by sending e-cupcakes. You choose the flavor, decorate it, and add a personal message. Then email it to anyone who deserves a little treat, or save it to your desktop to brighten your day. Count me in on any cupcake that has no calories! Especially ones that are as cute as these. Here, I'll let them tell you a little more:

Electrolux is proud to support The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. Electrolux and Kelly Ripa have teamed up to raise more than $500,000 to support this important cause. Electrolux is also making a $1 donation to the OCRF (with a minimum of $25,000 and a maximum of $30,000) when you send a virtual cupcake to a friend.
But wait, there's more! You can win somethin'. Log on each day and send a virtual cupcake and you are automatically entered for a chance to win a new Red Hot Red Washer and Dryer from Electrolux. See, do a little good and get a chance to win. Those people over at Electrolux sure know how to go big or go home!

And there's a cute name to to help you remember: Kelly Confidential. Sigh . . . makes you wanna change your name to Kelly, sink into a pair of Manolos and scrub the inside of your oven doesn't it?

Thanks for sharing this, I hadn't heard anything about it! Kind of addicting; good thing there's no calories.
