Housekeeping - Blog Style

So, I guess it's time to do a little housekeeping. Of the blogging variety.

First, I have yet to hear from my Sept. Pay It Forward book winner. If you think it might be you, please click on over here to find out for sure. If I don't hear from you soon, I'll have to give The Summer The Wind Whispered My Name by Don Locke, to another entrant.

Second, If you subscribe to my feed, you may have noticed that instead of a full post you are receiving a teaser instead. Just click on the title and that will take you on over to my post page and you can read the rest of the post.

There is a reason for this and it's not designed to annoy you, although, I must admit that when several of my fav blogs switched to this feature, I WAS annoyed. Now, I understand why.

There is such a thing as web scraping. Sounds like a new-fangled medical procedure targeted toward arachnids, but simply put it is the reusing of someone else's web or blog's content. There are legal web scraping sites, but sometimes the scraper has done this to pass off the post/info as their own.

So, the teaser is intended to help prevent this type of activity. At least, that's what I use it for. What's one more click, right? Thanks for understanding. I haven't detected any stealing of my content as of yet, but there's nothing wrong with thwarting a would be criminal.

For more information on copyrights and protecting your blog you can click on over to Scribbit. Michelle's post is informative and helpful. As per her usual style.

Let's see, we've dusted off an old post to re-reveal a winner. And we've done a little de-cluttering to ward off unwanted duplication of material. I think my work here is done. It's about all the housekeeping I can do for one day and still remain joyful.

Just sayin'.
