Giveaway Alert!

Dear Reader, it's about time for another giveaway! When Dove sent me tickets to see The Women (you can read my experiences with that here and here) they also sent along a cute gift tote that included Dove cucumber mint shampoo and conditioner and Dove deodorant.

They are generous people over there at Dove. Case in point: they would like to send along the same gift tote to one of you.

Now, I gotta tell you that I am kinda picky about what I'll put on my hair, but I especially liked the conditioner. I have highlights in my hair and generally buy products that are specific to color treated hair. The products in this giveaway are not specific to those needs and yet the conditioner still made my hair soft and manageable. I suspect that if I didn't have highlights, then the shampoo would have made my hair soft just by itself.

The scent is subtle, so if you don't care for a blast of strong aroma when you open the bottle, then this maybe the product line for you.

At any rate, you have a chance to try this new line by entering this giveaway. Here's what you need to do: click on over here to find the minidocumentary that talks about the women behind The Women and what they think real beauty is. Here's what Dove has to say about the minidocumentary:
This short film follows 16-year-old teen journalist Cammy Nelson behind-the-scenes of The Women to learn, first-hand, how Hollywood creates the images we see on screen, highlighting the work and people involved in making a major motion picture come to life.

The short film encourages women to challenge today’s beauty stereotypes, celebrates the opportunities for women to empower one another and explores the diverse definitions of beauty, shared through interviews with some of the cast and crew of The Women.

After viewing the documentary, come back over here and tell me what real beauty means to you. It'll be interesting to see how closely we agree with the Hollywood Beauties of The Women.

Want additional chances to win? You can do any or all of the following after you've left your comment defining real beauty.

*send me the link to your post about this giveaway linking back to this specific post

*subscribe to my feed

*add my button to your sidebar (and make sure to send me the link to your blog)

Leave a comment for each of these that you do, that way Mr. Random Generator will recognize each chance.

This giveaway will be open until October 17th. And a great big thanks to Dove for making this all possible. What a fun ride it's been.

  1. I sooo wished they would have added that to the movie. Maybe in the credits or right before the credits. Felt it was part of the movie - you know?

I struggle greatly with body image so I really don't have words. But I think honesty and a sense of humor is very beautiful.

  2. Real beauty is not what is on the outside but what is on the inside of a person.

A loving, caring, understanding person with a big heart is beautiful in my eyes.

  12. I have noticed that it doesn't matter what size or weight I am, if I'm working out and eating good and FEELING like I'm doing good things for my body, I look at myself and see 'beautiful.' It's all about confidence.

  14. Real beauty shows in a person who feels confident in herself and happy with who she is. It's all about what's on the inside, and I'm hoping to instill that message into my children.

  15. There's a difference between inner beauty and physical beauty. Physical beauty is shallow and fleeting; inner beauty is forever and is therefore far more valuable.

  19. I know in my heart that real beauty comes from within. It is the sincerity, the honesty, the compassion, the integrity, the innocence of the woman that makes her beautiful. However, I struggle from time to time to uphold my inner beauty because of the extra 15 pounds, the bad hair days, the stretch marks, the cellulite. It's a struggle but no matter what I always force myself to come back to what matters most. m_huston(at)hotmail(dot)com
