What a joyful, rambunctious little guy you are. You are the first to grin, to run, to climb on my lap and chortle in any given situation.
You are all boy and yet you still find time to be Mommy's Boy - at least for now. I know that it's natural for boys to gravitate toward daddy and I am OK with that. But I sure am enjoying the attention you are still willing to give. Especially since so often that attention is accompanied by kisses and hugs.
I love that you still get into the reverse psychology game even though you've finally figured out that it's a game. When we chuckle and say, "Don't you give me hugs and kisses" you run over to do just that. And then you ask us to say it over and over again so you have an excuse to keep doing it.
I thought I had this mommy thing all figured out and then God saw fit to add you to our family. And I'm so glad He did. You challenge me, stretch me and encourage me out of my comfort zone and into a better version of myself.
It's been a whirlwind four years with you, each moment more exciting than the last. It's a lot to live up to, but I have no doubt that you will.
May God pour out His blessings on you again and again. And use you mightily for his Kingdom. Look to Him for strength and for guidance. Doing so is not being weak, it's being wise. He'll never let you down because He is Forever Faithful.
Happy Birthday Whirling Dervish!
We love you.
