Prayers for Daddy

The topic of conversation around the kitchen table often centers around Daddy. When he's coming home (not soon enough), what we're gonna do when he gets home (make up for lost time), is Daddy's team fighting the bad guys (yes), and when he comes home can we go to the water park (yes).

So, I was not surprised when their prayers included specific requests concerning The Calm One and his deployment. Mark and Cherie's prayers are so typical of their personalities.

Cherie's prayer (the all girl version):

Dear Jesus, Bless this food. Bless our bodies. Help Daddy to have a safe trip and help the bad guys to turn into good guys.
Amen

Mark's prayer (the all boy version):

Dear Jesus, Bless our food. Bless our bodies. Help Daddy to have a safe trip and help the bad guys to all be dead.
Amen

While I try to encourage the all girl version, not wanting to dwell on dead bad guys, I figure either prayer will get the job done.
