So, there I was baking out in the sun watching my children splash in the kiddie pool in the backyard and flipping through one of my favorite magazines, Real Simple.
Naturally, as is my wont, I zeroed in on the recipes. Food is never far from my mind, dear reader. This is not news, I realize.
But I digress . . .
While the kids were taking a dip in the kiddie pool I was taking a gander at the recipe section on great summer time dips. While I've had my chips and veggies in many a dip, this recipe is new to me. And I had to share it with you.
Yogurt, Dill and Walnut Dip
In a medium bowl, combine
2 cups Greek Yogurt
1 clove of garlic (chopped)
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup chopped dill
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt.
Top with additional dill and walnuts serve with carrots, cherry tomatoes, green pepper slices, or whatever takes your fancy.
Easy, yummy, and a great way to help kids get in their veggies
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
James 1:2-4
