Works For Me Wednesday

We have a gremlin that lives in our house. The same little devious prankster that likes to steal socks from the laundry, leaving its mate to languish in loneliness, likes to also steal our gloves and scarves. To help combat the thieving ways of the aggravating imp we put a closet organizer in the kids’ closet (Thank you Mimi). You know the kind that holds sweaters and hangs from the closet rod? Well on the three remaining sides ours also has handy pockets that are intended for shoes.

Instead of using those pockets solely for shoes (sorry, couldn’t pass that up!) We also use the pockets for glove and scarf storage. The kids know now that when they hang up their coats in the closet, their gloves and scarves go right into one of those pockets. Works for Me!

Now if we can just figure out a way to keep the sock eating gremlin from climbing into the dryer we’d really be in business . . .

  1. I like this! We have a basket in the top of the coat closet for all the hats and gloves, and it works, but the kids can't get to it so I have to do all the getting out and putting away. It would be nice if we had a solution within their reach. :)
