Safari Animals

Michael, Cherie, Mark and I were poised precariously on our chairs around the table watching (with varying degrees of amazement) our new dollar store find.

Water + Children = a potentially sopping situation. Throwing caution to the wind, we waded in anyway.

Much to my children's delight those little colored capsules, when plopped into warm water, transformed themselves into various spongy shapes.
Having purchased an assortment of capsules and feeling adventurous, we opened the packages and mixed them up so we'd be surprised each time the outer coating dissolved and a new shape appeared. One set was dinosaurs, another vehicles, and yet another safari animals. Recognizing a teachable moment when it splashed onto my lap, I asked Michael if he knew what safari animals were. After a moment's reflection he emphatically stated,

"Safari animals are the ones that are SAFARI away that you can hardly see them."

How can you argue with that?!
